Hi, welcome! I'm
JOY YANG + a developer., a student-athlete., and a dreamer of sorts.
A Little About Me :)
I’m Joy, a current freshman at Georgetown University double-majoring in Computer Science and Government. I've worked a fair amount with all things web development, hence my familiarity with JavaScript, be it React, Angular, Vue, Three.js, or other frameworks. Recently, I've entered a new DeFi/Web3 phase in my progression of interests. As a Government major as well, I'm fascinated by where decentralized finance meets legal boundaries, a messy blend of tech and law. I've toyed a bit with blockchain and solidity, and I'm working to expand my experience in the field.
That aside, I'm an NCAA D1 student-athlete on Georgetown's Sailing Team and love the outdoors. I'm obsessed with hedgehogs and sunsets. I’m always open to opportunities to learn and grow, so feel free to reach out!

An overview of it all can be found within... my resume. Boring, I know. Reading resumes is a bit like watching paint dry, or worse, watching code compile. Either way, my resume promises a colorful performance.
Musiclusive: App + Startup
When it comes to projects, my journey begins with Musiclusive, diversity/inclusion-focused musical composer discovery app that my friend and I coded in high school as part of Lincoln Center's Young Musicians Innovation Challenge. Build primarily in React Native and with Firebase for a back end, this app landed us $4k total in national funding from Lincoln Center and PLCT Trust.
Campaign Website
In my junior year, I ran to be my high school's Student Body President. And what better way to showcase my campaign than to code a 3D website using Three.js for my peers to drive around and read my qualifications? (Yes, I won the election.)
